A Hybrid Worker is an employee whose role can be performed remotely from a variety of alternative locations including force premises, partner organisation premises or a member of staff's home. 
This role will require the post holder to travel to alternative locations on an ad hoc basis to undertake the role, travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with force policy.

Salary  
Starting salary is £42,897 per annum, rising in annual increments to a maximum of £47,712 per annum.
Salary Information  

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

Job Advert Description  

To lead partnership working between the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Police and other criminal justice partners across Devon and Cornwall, with a focus on preventative work to improve youth justice outcomes and prevent young people entering the criminal justice system. 

To coordinate the Police and Crime Commissioner’s convening duties for serious violence prevention which includes convening and assisting specified authorities in the exercise of their functions under the Duty and monitoring their exercise of those functions.

To support the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) to develop and deliver local policy initiatives that respond to serious and youth violence across Devon and Cornwall.  

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting interventions developed within the LCJB as they relate to youth crime and prevention of youth crime
  • Delivery of OPCC and LCJB business through the creation, monitoring and updating of project plans
  • Writing and delivering reports against work allocated in OPCC operational plans
  • Supporting the overall delivery of LCJB activities
  • Undertaking research and horizon scanning to provide high quality, evidence-based advice to the PCC, DPCC and Chief Executive on strategic issues, opportunities and risks
  • Identifying potential risks of a political nature to the delivery of OPCC or LCJB business, consulting with partner agencies and implementing risk management plans and logs
  • Convening, coordinating and reporting to the partnership boards across Devon and Cornwall

Annual Leave Entitlement:
