Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a Public Order Public Safety Trainer to join our team.

The role of this Police Staff Public Order Public Safety trainer will be involved in the preparation and delivery of Method of Entry and Protestor Removal Training at the bespoke training centre for the Constabulary. Training will be delivered to uniform officers and those within specialist roles within the Constabulary. The successful applicant will prepare safe and suitable training areas to undertake the training as well as the preparation and delivery of lessons and scenarios to assess student officer competence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To design, deliver and review and Lancashire Constabulary method of entry and protestor removal training packages.
  • To research local and national trends in relation to Method of Entry and Protestor Removal Training and thread this into the training environment.
  • Promote and ensure a safe and inclusive training environment for all students.
  • To undertake extensive pre course preparation, ensuring that all events can go ahead as schedule.
  • To conduct Method of Entry (MOE) glass entry preparation in a timely manner

Skills and Experience:

There are several qualifications that will be required to be completed within 12 months of appointment:

  • Minimum training qualification of the Training Essentials Programme
  • Method of Entry trainer course
  • Protestor Removal trainer course
  • Assessor course 

(The training and assessor courses are delivered internally and the instructor courses are delivered by external providers). 

Vetting and Medical:

Successful applicants will be required to pass Management Vetting prior to commencing their role. You will also be subject to a medical assessment.

Please be aware there is a minimum 5 year UK residency required for Management Vetting.
