Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst
To perform a Senior Analyst role within Police Scotland’s Intelligence Support function, assisting the Analyst Co-ordinator in the supervision, instruction, and development of analyst staff to ensure successful delivery of criminal intelligence analysis provision within the Major Investigation Team East. The Senior Analyst will instruct, guide and monitor the work of criminal intelligence analyst staff in the team as directed by the Analyst Co-ordinator. The post-holder will undertake analysis of a wide range of data, information and intelligence, developing and producing a range of assessments to inform and guide senior manager decision making across specialist operational business areas.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of major investigations, collaborating with detectives, specialist teams, and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based outcomes and enhance public safety.
Proven experience in a research or analytical environment is essential.
Professional training in intelligence analysis with related certifications is essential.
Supervisory experience of leading a team of analysts is desirable.
