Apprentice Building Surveyor - Police Staff
Main Purpose of Role
To begin a professional career as a Building Surveyor by undertaking a 5-year part time degree course at a university and work the rest of the working week within the Police Estates Team, to develop suitable skills that will allow the individual to carry out design, specification and management of building and maintenance work to the benefit of Nottinghamshire Police Estates & Facilities Department.
To ensure that the Force estate is well maintained through implementation of planned maintenance programmes and effective response to reactive maintenance requirements and thereby meets operational requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants for this course will need to meet the standard BSc (Hons) Building Surveying FT/SW entry qualifications.
- 120 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications
- GCSEs – English and Maths grade C / 4.
Other Information
The post is based at Police & Fire Headquarters, which is a central location on the A60 between Nottingham and Mansfield. The site includes free car parking, an on-site canteen, and for members of sports and social club there is access to a gym.
