Apprentice - People Services

Apprenticeship Programme

Do you want to make a difference, learn as you earn and get a recognised qualification in the process?

Dyfed Powys Police continue to introduce new apprenticeships across Police Staff departments as we look to attract talent from all ages and backgrounds.  The variety of opportunities we have available includes:

Apprentice - People Services (Human Resources)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Human Resource apprentice to join our team, whilst also working towards a HR qualification.

As a Human Resource apprentice, you will play an integral part in providing business and administrative support for the departments within People Services (HR), gaining experience and guidance as you build your career in Human Resources.  This apprenticeship provides a structured learning path, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to become a confident HR professional.

This is an agile working role, based at Police Headquarters in Carmarthen, where you will be required to attend for initial training, and then at least once a week for the purpose of meetings, events and other HR activities as per your line managers request. You will be enrolled in a CIPD-accredited Level 3 or 5 HR Apprenticeship Programme (depending on your previous experience and education), where you will combine academic study whilst also developing a solid foundation in HR best practices.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience, develop essential skills and contribute to an organisation that values its people.

If you are passionate about people and eager to develop a career in Human Resources, we would love to hear from you!

Our apprenticeship scheme is open to individuals from the age of 16 who are positive and passionate about a career in public service. Our programme runs for 24 months, during which time our apprentices will gain a vast amount of work experience within areas of our policing environment.

Who are Heddlu Dyfed- Powys Police?

We are the largest geographical police force in England and Wales, proudly serving the communities of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Powys. The population we serve may be small in numbers (around 515,000 people) but the dynamic landscape means we must be innovative with our policing approach to cater for our communities’ differing needs, which includes a vibrant tourist economy during the summer months.
