Assistant Research and Insight Officer - Police Staff
Main Purpose of Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our force Research and Insight team which involves interrogating and examining crime data across police systems, in order to prepare sample data that supports the delivery of a variety of engagement projects, both mandatory and non-mandatory. Resultant data will inform performance indicators and management information, ultimately informing the force on how service is delivered to the communities it serves.
Key Skills & Experience Required
You will be experienced in managing large volumes of data, making clear and transparent decisions that are available for internal and external audit purposes. You will also possess the ability to review sensitive and often distressing data across a variety of crime types. The role will also be required to support the delivery of a variety of research projects to meet internal and external requirements, demonstrating the ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills whilst accurately recording data are essential. Please also refer to the Person Specification.
