Service Improvement Analyst (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)
Secondment / Fixed Term Contract until June 2026
This is an exciting opportunity to join a unit that has a responsibility for delivering service improvement across the Force for the benefit of the public. In the role, you will assess the quality of service delivered by the Force, as well as its effectiveness in managing demand, and identifying and managing risk. This will involve analysing evidence from a variety of sources, including crime and incident data, fieldwork and audit across a number of business areas and producing briefing papers and presentations incorporating your key findings and inferences for use in service improvement meetings. You will then work with the Service Improvement Advisors to facilitate improvements across the Thames Valley.
Proven research and quantitative/qualitative analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve is essential to the role. You will have a degree and / or experience of analysis in a police or similar environment. You will need excellent report-writing and presentation skills and substantial experience of using Microsoft Office together with the ability to learn new systems. You will also be highly motivated, with the ability to plan, manage and prioritise your own workload as you will be working to tight deadlines.
Knowledge of a range of areas of policing and a professional qualification in analysis is desirable but not essential.
