Associate Installation Technician

Derbyshire Constabulary are looking for an Associate Installation Technician, with a genuine interest in in-car technology to join our Digital Workplace and Mobility Team.

As part of a career grade progression scheme, you will work towards an NVQ level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, training to maintain and install equipment in vehicles and at external sites across Derbyshire and the county network.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will train and progress to being fully competent in the installation of police radios, ANPR equipment and other associated equipment.
  • You will undertake online training as directed by the Digital Workplace and Mobility Manager
  • You will be doing physically demanding work including working in remote locations outdoors, as well as confined spaces in a workshop environment.

 The must haves

  • You must be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 2/3 in Performing Engineering Operations/Engineering Maintenance.
  • Be able to manage small projects, organise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills.

 What’s in it for you

Salary £25,626 - £37,692,
