Fleet Support Analyst (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

In this new role, you will report to the Fleet Support Manager to help streamline and maximise the fleet whilst making large cost savings in areas such as hire cars and servicing.

The overall purpose of the role is to analyse fleet performance, utilisation, and financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings, operational improvements, and sustainability initiatives. The role involves developing actionable insights, producing high-quality reports, and supporting decision-making for the Fleet Support Manager. The analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet management function and drive evidence-based improvements in service - ensuring that the DCC is able to hold Senior Leaders to account for delivering those improvements.

Briefing papers will need to be prepared based on information intelligence and direction will need to be given to provide service improved activity. Information is already available to the Analyst; their role will be to apply their skills and make recommendations for improvement. They will be required to carry out future thinking and come up with solutions.

You will hold a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analysis, Logistics, Business Administration) or equivalent experience, and a proven ability to develop and maintain highly collaborative and effective working relationships.   You will lead on financial and process analytical work and will require excellent communication and influencing skills to present findings and affect culture change and inform decision making.

In the course of their work, candidates may be required to travel within the Thames Valley and Hampshire areas, and on occasion across the South East region.
