Fleet Support Officer (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)
Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
In this new role, you will report to the Fleet Support Manager to help streamline and maximise the fleet whilst making large cost savings in areas such as hire cars and servicing.
The role holder will implement improvements identified by the Fleet Analyst, liaising with the relevant stakeholders. The role holder will have end-to-end accountability for the processes needed and will maintain accurate records for various areas. The role holder will assist in preparing reports, presentations and documentation for meetings and updates to stakeholders. The role holder will be required to take responsibility for their day-to-day work to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
The role holder will not require specific fleet knowledge but will need to be a strong administrator who can quickly learn necessary areas. The role holder will manage set processes and supervise the progress and the results. The role holder will be required to effectively communicate changes being made and influence and negotiate using reasoning and logic both internally and externally.
You will have a good standard of education with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to negotiate, influence and resolve conflict. An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines is essential. You will also have proven ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers maintaining contact and communicating their needs clearly.
In the course of their work, candidates may be required to travel within the Thames Valley and Hampshire areas, and on occasion across the South East region.
