West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a First Aid (leading to Health, Safety & First Aid) Trainer to join the Learning and Organisational Department based at Carr Gate, Wakefield.

What you’ll need?
Level 3 Learning and Development Certificate
First Aid trained and looking to obtain or already hold a NEBOSH Certificate
Good Working knowledge of Microsoft based applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Good interpersonal skills,
Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment,
Have the willingness to assist other Departments within the L&OD with their learning and development commitments when required.
Must be prepared to work flexible hours, weekends and out of business hours as required to meet organisational
What you’ll do?
You will design, develop, and deliver health, safety and first aid learning and development interventions in accordance with Health & Safety and First Aid Legislation, HMIC guidelines and the Policing Plan.
You may also be required to assist in other areas of training design and delivery within the Leadership and Professional Development department according to business needs.
Candidates not currently holding a NEBOSH certificate would, if successful, commence the role on a Scale 6 salary, delivering First Aid interventions only and work towards the NEBOSH certificate qualification on a day release basis, funded by West Yorkshire Police. Upon achieving the NEBOSH certificate, you will then move to Senior Officer 1 (SO1) salary delivering both First Aid and Health and Safety interventions. It is expected that you will achieve the NEBOSH certificate.
