Lancashire Constabulary are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) to cover maternity leave as a Disclosure Officer. This post is temporary until 31st March 2026.

This is an exciting challenge for a disclosure officer to come and work in the complex fast paced world of serious and organised crime and provide an excellent service to the SOCU team, in building complex conspiracy investigations to support successful prosecutions.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake and be responsible for disclosure procedures involving serious crime.

  • Be responsible for examining and certifying the disclosure of all material gathered during the investigation and producing accurate, comprehensive and ethical schedules for the CPS Prosecutor manually or by use of the appropriate case management systems.
  • Ensure the integrity, continuity and efficiency of all documentation/unused exhibits throughout the investigation and trial process.
  • Be responsible for the prompt and accurate preparation of Disclosure Schedules.
  • As directed by supervision and CPS, undertake further evidential enquiries and reply to same within agreed timescales.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of investigations involving The Criminal Procedure investigation Act 1996 and The Criminal Justice Act 2003 (Codes of Practice).

Vetting and Medical: 

Successful applicants will be required to pass MV and SC Vetting prior to commencing their role. You will also be subject to a medical assessment.

Please be aware there is a minimum 5 year UK residency required for Management Vetting.
