West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit an Administration Support Officer to join the Change Delivery team within Corporate Services, based in Wakefield.
The role supports the delivery of business change projects and the work of the Portfolio Management Office through the application of administrative / secretarial skills and expertise. By providing a range of services, they enable the Change Delivery team to deliver organisational improvement and transformational change at both a strategic and local level. The portfolio of change spans the entire operation of the Force, hence the contribution this role makes to the successful delivery of projects can be felt on the front line.
Deliverables of the role include meeting scheduling, minute production, liaison with other admin functions, intranet page maintenance, supporting the preparation of reports/documentation such as Dashboards, Project Briefs, Project Plans, Business Cases, etc. Support and coordination of project activity such as workshops and data gathering exercises. Tracking, chasing and updating of portfolio and project records such as benefit logs, lessons learned logs.
Eligible candidates should come with experience of administration in a project environment, taking into account the deliverables listed above. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies would be advantageous, as would working experience of Microsoft O365 tools (e.g. SharePoint, Lists).
The role will be based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield but will work in a hybrid manner with a mix of office based and home working.
