Intelligence Development Officer (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)
Secondment/Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Intelligence Development Officer covering rape and sexual offences. Your work will be to produce and develop intelligence in relation to repeat and pre-cursor offending and offenders, linking in with Project Vigilant and the wider work of the RASO Support, Standards and Performance Team.
Educated to a good standard, you will be computer literate in MS Office applications and knowledge of Thames Valley Police systems or willing to learn them. You will need good analytical and problem solving skills in order to guide researchers and task analysts and to use information provided to produce professional intelligence packages. Excellent and proven communication skills are required in order to undertake presentations on Intelligence, Crime Trends and the Force Intelligence Bureau, as required. You will be able to communicate with all levels on a regular basis with good use of diplomacy when instructing senior officers on completion of their intelligence reports. The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst working under minimum supervision and on your own initiative is also required. You will need to remain emotionally resilient when faced with distressing scenarios.
