Job Title: Team Leader Onsite Services (Central West)

Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Central West Area - Charing Cross, Hammersmith

 

Job Purpose 

This role sits within the team providing local support services to frontline policing and as outlined in the ‘A New Met for London’ plans, we are committed to supporting the needs of the communities we serve and delivering this against the priorities for Londoners.

In this role, you will lead one of our service portfolios, Admin, Logistics or CES to deliver outstanding service and drive operational efficiency. You will act as a key point of contact, collaborating with PC’s, Sergeants and Inspectors to ensure our services meet their requirements. Although assigned to one portfolio, you will be expected to support and cover other portfolios when required and perform team member duties.

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Line management of team members, this will include but not limited to performance management, one-to-ones, managing absences, onboarding and offboarding and staff development.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of service portfolio holding weekly team meetings to delegate task to deliver priorities
  • Empower team members to develop their service knowledge, confidence and communication skills
  • Attend all relevant training and events.  Travel across London will be required.
  • Contribute and support culture change
  • Create and maintain a positive working environment that inspires the team
  • Solution focused to problem solving and resolving conflicts
  • Utilise data to make informed business decisions, regularly reporting on KPI’s and providing weekly to the Service Delivery Manager
  • Accountability for your service area seeking initiatives to drive improvement and cost save
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day risks around Health and Safety and ensuring compliance in all workspaces.
