- S25-053 Drug Testing on Arrest Coordinator (LC6)
Lancashire Constabulary is committed to keeping our communities safe and supporting the fight against substance misuse. We are looking for a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Drug Testing on Arrest Coordinator.
This role will be pivotal to introducing a programme of Drug Testing on Arrest (DTOA) across all custody facilities within Lancashire. This process will identify those who are offending as a result of illicit drug abuse. Once identified offenders will be compelled to engage with treatment to providers. The post holder will support CDO’s across the county to make sure they have the skills and equipment to carry out the testing, and work with treatment providers and partners to manage suspect referrals, and any compliance breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively co-ordinate the Lancashire Constabulary Drug Testing on Arrest (DToA) scheme.
- To be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of training regarding the DToA scheme for police officers and staff across the Force.
- Extract information and gather data from force systems regarding DToA tests / suspects / referrals. Prepare reports and information required for Home Office returns.
- Track referred suspects for compliance with mandatory requirements of the scheme. Generate investigative actions in Connect where breaches are identified and create supervisory actions where further work is required.
- To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.

The successful candidate will be based at Hutton Headquarters however, force-wide travel is expected.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of communicating across a wide spectrum of people both individuals and in groups internally and externally.
- Experience of producing accurate written information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience of working on own initiative, investigating problems, developing solutions and taking appropriate timely action to resolve them.
- Experience of maintaining strict confidentiality using tact and diplomacy where appropriate.
Vetting and Medical:
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting prior to commencing their role. You will also be subject to a medical assessment.
