As a Multi Skilled Plumber, you will play a vital role in delivering quality reactive and planned maintenance and installations work tasks to the organisation. You will carry out new installations, maintenance, and repairs to heating and hot and cold plumbing services as well as drainage. In addition, utilise excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to ensure a professional and customer focussed service to ensure colleagues and stakeholders are satisfied with works carried out.
Key Responsibilities:
- First and Second fix plumbing and heating work on new installations. Installation of associated WC washroom and kitchen furniture.
- Undertake routine planned maintenance on mechanical equipment across our estate.
- Work on ventilation and extract systems to ensure they run effectively and efficiently.
- Make good to work areas that have been disturbed from works carried out.
- Liaise with Repairs and Maintenance team regarding building or equipment failures or where they deviate from specification or applicable regulations and request the supply of goods or specialist services as necessary.
Skills and experience:
- Educated to City & Guilds or ONC Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent significant experience in the maintenance of buildings and building services in a commercial property environment.
- Be Gas Safe registered.
- Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams and an Asset Management System.
- Experience of using handheld electronic devices such as PDA/tablet.
- Knowledge of current health & safety legislation, and buildings regulations.
- Hold a Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the Force area.
- An ability to work outside normal working hours and/or attend conferences/workshops on behalf of the Force which may necessitate overnight stays.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
