Job Purpose:

Kickstart your career with a unique opportunity to join our Performance, Analytics & Evaluation team. As a Strategic Analyst, you'll gain hands-on experience in administration, data extraction, and supporting our team of Strategic Researchers, Analysts, and Evaluation Officers in producing impactful research, analytical reports, and briefings.

What You'll Do:

Handle administrative tasks ensuring work meets high standards and deadlines.
Extract Data: Assist in gathering information by extracting data from systems for analysis.
Conduct Research: Perform research to support team analysis.
Prepare Data: Help prepare data for reports and presentations.
Analyse Information: Support information analysis to enhance team insights.
Engage in Meetings: Present statistical information at various corporate meetings.
Manage Information: Adhere to Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management and the Home Office Code of Practice on Management of Police Information (MoPI).

What We're Looking For:

Currently enrolled in a university degree program. We are particularly interested in applications from STEM students.
Keen interest in analytics and basic understanding of analytical concepts and processes.
Familiarity with analytical software, data visualization tools, and computerized query building is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Creative thinker.
Professional and ethical standards, promoting a positive image.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the flexibility to meet operational demands.
