Job Purpose:

Kickstart your career with a unique opportunity to join our Performance, Analytics & Evaluation team. As a Strategic Analyst, you'll gain hands-on experience in administration, data extraction, and supporting our team of Strategic Researchers, Analysts, and Evaluation Officers in producing impactful research, analytical reports, and briefings.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle administrative tasks ensuring work meets high standards and deadlines.
  • Extract Data: Assist in gathering information by extracting data from systems for analysis.
  • Conduct Research: Perform research to support team analysis.
  • Prepare Data: Help prepare data for reports and presentations.
  • Analyse Information: Support information analysis to enhance team insights.
  • Engage in Meetings: Present statistical information at various corporate meetings.
  • Manage Information: Adhere to Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management and the Home Office Code of Practice on Management of Police Information (MoPI).

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree program. We are particularly interested in applications from STEM students.
  • Keen interest in analytics and basic understanding of analytical concepts and processes.
  • Familiarity with analytical software, data visualization tools, and computerized query building is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Professional and ethical standards, promoting a positive image.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the flexibility to meet operational demands.
