Team Leader – Driver Training Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Team Leader – Driver Training Manager in the Driver Training Unit - Pembrey

What you will be doing?

To undertake, co-ordinate and manage the delivery of roads policing and driver training to all personnel within Dyfed Powys Police, monitoring standards and ensuring effective roads policing and driver training.  In addition to this you have responsibility for achieving an annual financial target (set by finance) via the procurement of external courses.  All training needs to be completed in line with the requirements set by the College of Policing.

  • To maintain and continuously review the standard of driver training in line with College of Policing guidance.
  • To ensure adherence to the above standards by all members of the DTU staff.
  • To undertake the supervision of identified departmental staff.
  • In addition to the above, to ensure the standard of training given by divisional trainers across Dyfed-Powys Police.
  • Organise, plan/schedule and implement ongoing training and development activity to up skill staff, promoting flexibility of deployment and resilience.
