ERSOU CTP Deputy Eastern Region Protect and Prepare Lead - Staff

A newly created post in ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing team is now available for Inspectors and PO4 grade police staff in our Protect and Prepare Team. The UK response to the threat from Terror is organised under the CONTEST strategy pillars of Pursue, Prevent, Protect and Prepare. Working to the ERSOU CT P&P lead, you will be supporting delivery of a range of varied duties including overseeing the work of the team who visit sites of risk of attack to support them implementing prevention plans, and also the work of the team who design and implement plans to prepare our forces and partners as to how to respond in the event of a terrorist attack. There are opportunities to work closely with the national CTP P&P team, Local Authority Leads, Military Partners and members of the public who each have roles in contributing to responding to Terrorist attacks. No prior experience or knowledge of CT is necessary, the skills the best candidate will have will relate to ops planning, training and working in an area where oversight of regulatory duties are required. The successful candidate will receive training, and will also be expected to participate in wider CT SMT duties.
