Bedfordshire Victim Care Services - Business Support Administrator

As a Business Support Administrator in Bedfordshire Victim Care Services, you will provide enhanced administrative support and respond to telephone calls providing initial triage as well as written forms of communication into the department from victims, Bedfordshire Police, and partners within the county in order to support those impacted by crime residing in Bedfordshire. You will research systems to support this and deal with confidential information in a sensitive manner.

You will be joining a highly motivated team who are passionate about victim support and who assist each other, sharing their knowledge and experience to help achieve the best outcomes for the victims. You will manage the incoming communications ensuring victims are contacted in a timely, safe manner to offer support, and you will maintain accurate records on the inhouse data management system as per the policies and procedures.

You will have previous experience of working in administration and be able to demonstrate good IT and good communication skills, be empathetic and be able to work sensitively within a multicultural client group. You should be able to gather and evaluate information in order to assess situations and problem solve to seek solutions, and be able to manage time, workloads and priorities effectively.

The role is office based, Monday to Friday 0800 to 1600, but you may be required to travel to different locations across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire for meetings, training and events.
