1 permanent position, 1 x 12 month contract to be reviewed at end of period
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the Dog Support Unit where you will participate in curriculum design, planning, delivery and evaluation of Police Dog Training and assessment in accordance with APP, NCTAS and Police Dog Standard documents.
To be considered for this unique role, you must have the the ability to achieve the instructor modules of learning and outcomes of NCTAS , Police Dog Standard and Police Dog APP as well as holding a level 3 Learning and development qualification (or equivalent) or the ability to achieve the qualification.
The ideal candidate will hold a full current UK/European driving licence and be able to pass an occupational health unit hearing test (firearms and dogs).
You will have previous experience of training / working dogs and take responsibility for the training and assessment of Police Dog Teams both within West Yorkshire and external force candidates.
The ideal applicant will have experience training in the current NCTAS and Police Dog Standard format as a qualified instructor and have a current CPD detailing recent events and experience of APP, NCTAS and Police Dog Standards.
