**Please apply through the external link below - any applications received through Oleeo will NOT be progressed**
Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
In addition to protecting the communities of the Northwest the CTPNW also works hand in hand with the CTP Southeast, CTP Northeast, West Midlands CTU, Counter Terrorism Command and a network of Counter Terrorism Intelligence Units (CTIUs) to ensure that the United Kingdom is able to manage the threat from terrorism.
As a surveillance officer you will form part of the Ops Support strand of CTPNW and will provide surveillance coverage of CT targets, not only in the NW but across the country when required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and specialised area of policing. You need to have attention to detail and be prepared to work flexibly. In return you will have a rewarding role in the UK's fight against terrorism; you will be given the relevant training courses and support once in post. Further specialist training will be offered once fully trained and competent.
CTPNW would welcome applications from highly motivated, committed and flexible officers who feel they have all the right skills and attributes to become a surveillance officer.
We would also welcome applications from current underrepresented groups i.e. minority ethnic groups and females. Please note you will be expected to pass a surveillance pre-select as part of the recruitment process. Once selected you will be seconded to CTPNW or given the opportunity to transfer to GMP, NB this only applies to non-GMP staff. We will put the successful candidates through their required advanced driving and national surveillance course. If candidates are unsuccessful in their advance driving or national surveillance course, they will return back to their force.
