Youth Outreach & Engagement Coordinator
Main Purpose of Role

Lead the design and implementation of youth outreach initiatives.
Organise events aimed bringing communities together building trust and confidence in policing.
Foster positive relationships within the community.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Work closely with partners, local authorities, key stakeholders and internal colleagues to identify young people in need of positive engagement.
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement and public confidence with under-represented groups, demographics or geographical areas to support local policing team.
- Build strong community ties and enhance the communities trust in policing.
- Be able to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally to the organisation, with the ability to break down barriers between groups and involve others in discussions and decisions.
- Knowledge of principles of prevention and early intervention.
- Be an effective communicator who is experienced in dealing with a wide range of people and with effective interpersonal skills to ensure professional relationships are built and maintained and barriers to engagement are overcome.
