Finance Technician

Hertfordshire Constabulary are offering an opportunities to join our Finance department as a Financial Technician within the Accountancy Team.

The Constabulary

For 2024/25, the Constabulary has a gross revenue budget of £294m, a capital budget of £25m and, at the end of March 2024, employed full time equivalent of 2,421 police officers, 153 Police Community Support Officers and 1499 Police Staff. The Finance department forms a critical function in the organisation to ensure that funding is best utilised to provide the best quality policing service to the people of Hertfordshire.

The Roles

This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the accountancy team, including maintaining the integrity of the organisation’s financial reporting, producing vital reconciliations, assisting in the annual closure of the Constabulary and PCC accounts, providing vital financial support to budget holders across the organisation and supporting Assistant Accountants within the team to produce timely and accurate information to senior management.

Location

The role will be based at Titan Court in Hatfield, with a mixture of home and office-based working.
