Salary: Band 6, £29,055 – £31,296

Location: Agile, Force wide

Hours/Contract: 37 hours per week, 12 month fixed term / secondment

The role

Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! It takes a great deal of people from different backgrounds, with diverse skills and experience to serve our force area effectively, think you have what it takes to help us make a difference? This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Digital Department as an IT Technician.

As an IT Technician you will required to assist in the delivery of a number of key refresh projects including the migration of the force estate to Windows 11, the upgrade of Body Worn Video cameras and a large technical refresh program. You will partake in computer builds using automated deployment tools, install and configure desktop and laptop machines and associated peripherals and facilitate large move and change activity across the Northumbria Police force area.

You will need to ensure that all assets are managed and recorded so that devices can be audited at all times and you will provide advice and guidance in the use of equipment.

During the refresh program, you will be expected to undertake manual handling of computer equipment.
