Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Based at either Torness or Aberdeenshire, Scotland (Hybrid Working) with travel to other sites across Scotland
Permanent, Part-Time (22.2 hours per week – working pattern can be agreed with successful candidate)
Salary up to £46,849 per annum (full time equivalent) plus a generous benefits package
The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Joining us as an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you’ll carry out annual medicals, pre-employment screening and necessary medical assessments, whilst also managing a dedicated caseload that could include return to work medicals. You will provide ongoing support and advice to individuals who have recuperative action plans/restricted duties/health concerns, and ensure that these individuals have the right support and reasonable adjustments. You’ll get involved in health promotion activities across the CNC, including providing support and advice to employees regarding health and wellbeing, and developing tailored return to work plans for them.
A Registered Nurse, with or working towards a degree or diploma in Occupational Health, you will have experience working in OH case management, providing assistance in developing health initiatives and carrying out health screening for a variety of roles. You’ll also have managed a dedicated and varied caseload, and be confident in report writing.
You will need to proactively carry out the required PCD to maintain your knowledge and qualifications throughout your time in this role.
There will be a requirement to travel to other CNC sites across Scotland as part of this role, with overnight stays on occasion. There may also be occasions where you are required to work outside of your core hours. Successful candidates will need to apply and be granted SC clearance to perform this role.

This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working and has been identified as a 60% & 40 % split between home & office working, which will be discussed and confirmed with the successful individual.

- Generous pension scheme (20.7% employers contribution). The employer contribution for this grade is a minimum of £8,377 per year, and employee contribution (8.2%) is a minimum of £3,318 - providing you with a minimum total annual pension contribution of up to £11,695 (full time equivalent) (Full time equivalent, will be pro-rated for part-time employees)
