We look forward to reading your application for the role of Technical Skills Trainer HUMINT.
As a HumInt trainer you will be part of a team whose aim is train Police officers and agency members to equip them with the skills and knowledge to prevent crime, protect the public and secure public trust.
The selected candidate will be responsible to a Training Team Manager for the day-to-day delivery of training programmes, supervising students and, where appropriate, associate trainers to ensure that learning objectives are met to course specifications and agreed quality standards. Working with other College departments to provide subject matter expertise in the formulation of evidence-based policing standards and the design and development of learning products.
The HumInt trainer role requires that the applicant must have both in depth practical knowledge and experience in a HumInt role and the applicant will be required to evidence this in both their application and subsequent interview (subject to paper-sift).
This role relates specifically to the undercover policing area of HumInt.
Person specification
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Delivering training programmes to agreed content and assessment specifications. Developing and adapting teaching techniques, lesson plans, scenarios and training materials to meet individual students learning needs to ensure that all students receive a consistent, high quality training intervention.
Reviewing and revising training packages to address changes to the curriculum, professional practice, guidance, standards and/or feedback from quality assurance data trends, ensuring an inclusive and psychologically safe learning environment. Maintaining version control log to ensure that learning programmes are always accurate, up-to-date, and inclusive, and that definitive records of revisions are maintained.
Undertaking and compiling accurate records of assessments as appropriate to each learning intervention.
To be successful in this role youll need:
To be a qualified Trainer to meet the Police Sector Standard for Trainers through either a Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development, a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent or through the College of Policing Training Essentials Programme or be willing to achieve the Level 4 diploma within 18 months
Experience and knowledge within the subject matter specialism that forms the basis of training delivered.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build effective working relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders and staff to achieve timely results
