Customer Service Officer
North Yorkshire Police are excited to announce we have a current position for a Customer Service Officer to join our dedicated front counter / enquiry desk team.This role will put you at the heart of local policing assisting members of the public, police officers, and police staff with a wide range of services. This is a very demanding and challenging role, but it is an exceptionally varied, interesting, and rewarding opportunity to support your local community.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will look to provide a high-quality service to colleagues and members of the public. Other responsibilities will include:
Taking incident reports from victims of crime.
Providing advice and undefined to members of the public on a variety of enquiries.
Being the first point of contact for all visitors to the police station.
Completing court-ordered registrations and managing bail appointments. Handling surrendered firearms and weapons.
Processing seized vehicle releases.
Undertaking a wide range of administrative duties including handling cash and sensitive material, processing alarm applications, taking switchboard calls, responding to digital live chats, and processing online reports of crime.
