The selected candidate will lead the design, development and delivery of a complex portfolio of Technical Skills Learning events within a safe learning environment, across ranks and roles, ensuring learning content meets current legislation and guidance. Resourcing and deploying Trainers, Associates and subject matter experts to achieve agreed KPIs, overseeing and sourcing appropriate venues, necessary equipment, transport and associated logistics to optimise cost-efficient availability against demand.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Quality assuring and auditing the delivery of the relevant Technical Skills Learning portfolio, utilising version-control, relevant documentation and learning resources reflecting the curriculum, professional practice, guidance, standards from evaluation reports to ensure that Technical Skills Learning interventions are accurate, relevant and professionally delivered.
Leading, inspiring, coaching and matrix managing Technical Skill Trainers / Assessors and a complex pool of staff, seconded officers, SMEs and Associates to ensure compliance and achievement of agreed specifications, maintaining the highest level of integrity to support the professional development of delegates and trainers to embed a customer-focus culture..
Continually researching and refreshing own expertise by working alongside a wide range of stakeholders, sharing knowledge, identifying innovative solutions and developing evidence-based policing standards. Lead on horizon scanning, which then informs the development of curriculum specifications and learning interventions which support, promote and embed consistency in professional practice across Technical Skills Learning within policing and partner agencies.

To be able to apply judgement creatively and flexibly to solve complex problems and generate new ideas
Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences/scenarios
