BSA Administrative Assistant - Professional Standards - Beds
The Professional Standards Department is a collaborated Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Unit which is committed to improving public confidence and quality of service together with protecting and enhancing the integrity of all three forces by preventing and detecting unethical behaviour, conducting timely and robust public complaint investigations, identifying lessons learned through investigation, educating, promoting and supporting good practice.
This team acts as the initial contact point for the department and the role requires previous experience in a customer service environment.
The team are responsible for providing all administration support to the department and ensuring all data recording is maintained in line with Constabularies and National data practices and policies.
This role requires a desire to offer the best customer service and an extreme attention to detail skill base and an experience of an organised approach to work will be key. There will be a requirement for part of the role to undertake transcriptions of formal interviews and experience of audio typing would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is able to undertake Administrative work in a challenging, customer focused environment.
As an Administrative Assistant, you must be able to evidence:
- 1 or more years in a customer service arena
- Competent with Microsoft Office 365 applications
- A strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
- Experience working in a demanding environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills
- Flexible, able to multitask and work under pressure

The post is a permanent post and the hours are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (Core office hours – 09:00 to 17:00).
