 About the Opportunity

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is an executive agency of the Government.

The purpose of the role is to provide employers with a service that allows them to make safer recruitment decisions by the provision of conviction records and, in certain circumstances, local police information.

The post holder will be based at Lindum House Stone, within the DBS team there is also a level of agile working once trained.

The core work will involve researching and assessing information that may be relevant to be included on a persons Enhanced DBS Certificate by following the Quality Assurance Framework, this will involve assessing a wide range of information including safeguarding and mental health issues involving adults and children. 

This post holder will be required to risk assess the information and create an audit trail to be forwarded to the DBS Analysts.

The post holder will work as part of a team and have contact with other agencies within a multi-agency setting including Social Care.
