Cybercrime Quality Assurance Officer
In this role you will support the Cybercrime Quality Assurance Manager and the Cybercrime Senior Management Team (SMT) in the implementation and management of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation to ISO 17025, ILAC G-19, Forensic Science Regulator Code of Practice and all other national accreditation standard(s) as required to meet organisational goals.
You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and manage the day-to-day provision and development of the Quality Management System (QMS) in support of a national function across Police Scotland's Cybercrime Digital Forensic Laboratories (DFLs), providing advice, guidance and support relating to matters of quality assurance and national accreditation standard(s).
You will work across all functional areas within Cybercrime Digital Forensics to develop a continuous improvement culture and embrace learning actions to improve organisational outcomes and reduce risk.
You will plan, conduct and manage the auditing of Digital Forensics and play an integral role in promoting a positive culture of auditing and compliance in the support of the Quality Assurance Manager. Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to all levels within Digital Forensics on matters of quality assurance and national accreditation and liaise with external partners nationally and internationally to learn best practice and maximise quality-of-service.
You will assume responsibility for overall quality assurance in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager as required.
A driving licence is essential for this role.
This role will be Monday-Friday, 8-4.
