About the Role
As the Senior Delivery Manager, you will be leading a team to deliver a range of transformative projects. This is a unique opportunity to lead on the delivery of high-profile initiatives and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
You’ll take charge of managing complex delivery programmes, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic vision of the Police and Crime Commissioner. From inception to completion, you will oversee every stage of project delivery, balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to achieve meaningful outcomes. Your expertise in delivery management will ensure resources are used effectively and projects deliver real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery you will manage a team of Delivery Officers to deliver a range of complex delivery programmes.
- Commission services that deliver positive outcomes for the residents of Thames Valley
- Work in collaboration with internal and external partners across the area to deliver best value for money and joined up service provision.
- Maintain a 'can do' attitude, ensuring high quality projects and programmes are delivered at pace, and within budget fostering an ethos of continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive work culture and develop resilience and adaptability within the team to handle the demands of the role.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing staff
- Experienced Commissioner or Project Manager with experience coordinating complex delivery projects
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team whilst managing high levels of performance.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in contract management, resource allocation and capability to use data to inform this.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
