Witness Care Officer
Can you make a positive difference to the lives of victims and witnesses and help to bring offenders to justice?
If so, we are looking for a Witness Care Officer to join us on a part-time, permanent basis working 25.5 hours per week : Monday to Friday with one late shift until 5pm.
Our Witness Care Team provides a vital service to both victims and witnesses of crime by offering ongoing support, guidance and advice throughout case and court proceedings.
Key Tasks
- Provide necessary guidance and support for guidance to colleagues, partners, victims, witnesses and other appropriate agencies.
- Ongoing liaison with witnesses to ensure readiness, attendance at hearings and hearing outcomes.
- Record, store and supply information using appropriate computer systems.
The must haves
- Educated to A Level grade C/4 in English Language or equivalent.
- Have empathy and patience when communicating with people.
- Ability to gather and process information whilst liaising and communicating with varying stakeholders.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
Salary range: Grade 4. £29,085 - £32,772 (pro rata).
Vetting clearance: RV- 3 years continuous residency within the UK required at time of application.
