Biometric Data and Submissions Officer
To support the Police Scotland Biometrics function by providing a biometric data quality and
compliance service. Ensuring alignment with biometrics legislation, the Scottish Biometrics
Commissioner’s Code of Practice and the interdependencies between DNA, Fingerprints, Images
and the Criminal justice business process.
To provide an effective DNA sample submission process by assessing the operational requirement
for and legal status of arrestee DNA samples, applying data standards and data quality control
measures, forensic match result legality reviews and ensuring an efficient and robust service for
both Police Scotland and SPA Forensic Services
