Job Title: Strategic Design Analyst - Integrated Design & Delivery
Salary: The starting salary is £45,073, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £42,232 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £50,385. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Newlands Park - We want to provide you with the flexibility to balance a rewarding career with home-life and personal wellbeing. You should expect a hybrid working pattern, including three days working out of our base location (40-42 Newlands Park, Sydenham, SE26 5NF) and / or working alongside your team in other Met locations when needed. The remaining two days you will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid way, including working from home. However, individuals must remain flexible on individual agile working arrangements so that you are available to attend a specific work location when there is a business need to do so.

We are recruiting for a Strategic Design Analyst to work in the Integrated Design and Delivery Team of the Strategy and Transformation Directorate.
About the role:
As a Strategic Design Analyst, you will provide expertise in strategic design and analysis across the Strategy and Transformation group to make sure that the changes we are making to the Met are customer-focused, operationally deliverable and aligned to the Met’s strategy to meet the needs of the public and our employees. Working as part of the wider Integrated Design and Delivery team you will help to deliver the team’s objectives, including leading on strategic products such as the Met’s Operating Model, on behalf of Management Board, to drive key decision-making about maximising our operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledge and insight for the long-term strategy, underpinning capabilities and insights across the Met and provide guidance, sign-posting and good practice support.
- Deliver expertise, coaching and educate others in strategic design methods, standards and approaches including foresight analysis, customer insight analysis, service design and innovation, process improvement, organisational capability design, demand analysis and enabling design.
- Driving the design and delivery of thematic or cross-programme products, such as end-to-end customer journeys and organisation design models.
- Supporting and enforcing the setting of standards, guidance, and processes for organisation design.
- Driving the assurance of organisation design products by the Organisation Design Authority
