Investigator - Domestic Abuse Investigation and Safeguarding Unit (DAISU)
Are you an aspiring investigator looking for an opportunity to investigate, sometimes serious and complex, crime while also protecting some of the most at-risk victims in Hertfordshire? We currently have vacancies in the Domestic Abuse Investigation Safeguarding Unit (DAISU) based at Hatfield Police Station. The DAISU is part of the Crime and Safeguarding Command and was established in 2016. It is responsible for the investigation of all intimate domestic abuse offences of all levels of severity. Detectives and police staff in DAISU investigate serious, indictable offences, including Attempted Murder, Kidnap and GBH Assault while also developing risk management strategies for vulnerable victims.
Our 4 investigation teams regularly deal with some of the highest risk offenders and highest profile investigations across the whole of the force.
The team works very closely with safeguarding partners across the county providing bespoke safeguarding to some of the most vulnerable in society. This gives investigators an opportunity to further develop their skills in this important policing area as well as providing the opportunity to work within a multi-agency setting to support career development. This is a great opportunity for anybody in an A3 role to develop into a PIP 1 qualified A4 investigator.
