Victim Engagement Officer - Maternity Cover

The team support victims of Domestic Violence and undefined the investigation teams on safeguarding victims of domestic abuse and providing undefined and advice to officers, staff and undefined agencies across Bedfordshire. As such being able to work as part of a team is vital.

This position is to cover the maternity leave of one of the team members for a fixed term of 12months from start date as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will join a team of 8 other VEO’s covering county responsibility. This position will be based at Headquarters but may well involve travel across the county and occasionally outside of the county to undefined victims.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend Strategy meetings, ICPC’s and other professionals’ meetings. Internal and external events to advocate safeguarding for domestic abuse survivors and prevention.

Working with partner agencies is vital and so knowledge of local and national undefined agencies will be beneficial.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, occasional overtime is incurred due to late strategy meetings or transferring victims to safe locations and Clare’s Law process.
