DMU Officer / Resource Planner

Do you have good communication and problem solving skills?

Derbyshire Constabulary are looking to recruit a full-time Duty Management Officer/Resource Planner on a permanent basis to work in their Duty Management Unit at Wyatts Way, Ripley.  You will be working Monday-Friday, flexible working, however please note this is under review and may change to shift and weekend working. 

This role is critical to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time to deliver our daily business needs across the force. 

What you’ll be doing

  • The main purpose of the role will be the forward planning of staffing in the units and the wider organisation for the Force and be abstracting, booking, updating, and allocating Officers and staff to various training courses, including the updates on attendance and skills/results afterwards.
  • Researching, collating, and compiling course and skills information using specialist software, ensuring high levels of accuracy. The role requires taking personal responsibility and forward thinking in identifying and formulating ways to improve and streamline working practices.

The must haves

  • Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent or be able to provide evidence of competence in administration and the planning and organising of events in a complex organisation.
  • Experience of accurately maintaining records using administration skills and clerical systems.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to use own judgement to make decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight or sudden deadlines.

Salary: £23,748-£28,653

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
