Awards & Recognition Lead
Nottinghamshire Police is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the achievements and contributions of its employees. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Awards and Recognition Lead to join our team.
The Awards and Recognition Lead will be passionate about recognising and celebrating the outstanding contributions of our police officers, staff, and volunteers. They will lead, manage, design, and deliver on force events and force awards processes at national, force and departmental level, overseeing nominations for a wide range of awards, the planning processes and effectively engaging strategic partners and members of the public.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead, manage, design, and deliver on force events, ensuring they adhere to guidelines and protocols.
- Be a single point of contact and support for all officers and staff receiving awards and commendations, providing expert advice.
- Arrange all ceremonial events at Joint Force Headquarters on behalf of the Chief Officer Team.
- Forward plan for the various award events, identifying suitable venues, ensuring key individuals are available and invited. Liaising with internal and external service providers for each event.
- Liaise with dignitaries and other high-profile individuals.
Skills and experience:
- Professional experience of event management in a large organisation.
- Experience of relationship management, specifically within a large multidisciplinary organisation and with external partners
- Knowledge in the use of a full range of IT systems specifically in relation to Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Significant ability to work on own initiative, to plan effectively, be self-motivated, prioritise workload and have the ability to multi-task and manage competing demands effectively.
