Chief Superintendent - Head of Crime
We welcome applicants at the rank of Chief Superintendent, T/Chief Superintendent or substantive Superintendent to apply for the role of Chief Superintendent Head of Crime. Applications from recently retired officers of the ranks set out above or those wishing to be considered for a secondment for a minimum of two years are also welcome.
This role holds responsibility for solving crime on the railways and bringing criminals to justice. You will lead our Major and Serious Organised Crime, Intelligence, Justice and County Lines functions and will be the portfolio holder for tackling violence against women and girls and will lead our liaison with the criminal justice system.

Location
The primary place of work is Force HQ, Buckingham Palace Road, London, but postholders are required to deliver visible leadership across all national sites. Candidates must be able to travel to visit their teams based in England, Scotland and Wales on a regular basis.

Selection Process and Key Dates

Stage One: Application and Eligibility Sift
Application Deadline: Monday 6th January 2025, by 11:59 PM
Applications will undergo an eligibility sift and first stage shortlisting. Candidates who are successful in this stage will advance to Stage Two.
Stage Two: People and Stakeholder Panels
The People and Stakeholder Panels will be held January 2025.
Candidates will be assessed based on the CVF framework. Those who perform successfully will be invited to participate in Stage Three. Unsuccessful candidates will receive feedback at this stage.
Stage Three: Panel Interview based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
