Up to £50,000 plus a £2,000 South East allowance per annum (for individuals based at Culham) and generous benefits package.

Based at Culham, Oxfordshire or Calder Bridge, Cumbria (hybrid working)

Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally as the United Kingdom’s leading organisation for the provision of protective policing for the civil nuclear industry and other critical national infrastructure. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our team.

We’re looking for an established Pay & Reward Manager to join our team, contributing towards an effective total reward infrastructure and the development and delivery of an underpinning pay and reward policy framework to meet the needs of the business. Experience of operating in a complex pay governance environment with multiple stakeholders would be beneficial.

To be successful in the role you’ll have prior experience of effective best practice pay and reward processes, acting as the subject matter expert for colleagues and employees within the CNC. You will work seamlessly with the Human Resources Department and demonstrate your adeptness of effectively managing and communicating complex areas of pay and reward across a wide audience.

You’ll ideally have or be working towards a CIPD qualification and have generalist HR experience. Good communication and interpersonal skills are key as you’ll be working closely with your direct team but also the wider HR team and organisation, so you’ll also be able to influence at all levels. A sound understanding of HR legislation and policies, and how they relate to pay and reward practices is key. This post is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to step from a generalist HR background to focus more on pay, reward, and pension management.

This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working with a 60% / 40% split of home and office working, details of which will be discussed and agreed with the successful individual.
