- S24-453 Long Term Storage Officer (LC4)
Lancashire Constabulary’s Criminal Justice Support Division is seeking a Long Term Storage Officer to be based at Leyland. This role is temporary until 31/03/2025 subject to review.
As a long term storage officer you will be undertaking a varied and challenging role. You will spend your days either working from the office or from the LTS warehouse or most likely undertaking a mixture of both. You might be responding to a request for a file or box of information from the long term storage archive which may involve you carrying out in-depth interrogation of electronic systems and/or physically searching the archive (which may require you to use the scissor lift to safely retrieve a box from height and undertake manual handling of heavy boxes). Other days may see you checking and weeding boxes of files and uploading documents onto the Constabulary’s electronic system or scanning paper documents whilst cataloguing physical exhibits. Some days you will be required to challenge requests for storage that fall outside the Constabulary’s retention criteria or providing officers and staff with specialist advice and guidance around retention.
