Transferee Opportunities - PC - Road Crime Team

Transferee – Road Crime Team - Police Constable

Are you a proactive, dedicated police officer with a strong work ethic and passion for Roads Policing who’s looking for a new challenge?  If so, then opportunities exist for transferees on the newly-formed Staffordshire Road Crime Team. You can look at some of our recent activity on “X” here StaffsRCT (@StaffsRCT) / X

The Road Crime Team is a 24/7 Roads Policing function responsible for policing roads ranging from some of the busiest stretches of motorway in the UK to remote rural routes across the Peak District.  In addition to keeping people safe on the roads, the team also has a strong proactive crime function working alongside internal and external partners to disrupt organised criminals who use the County’s roads in the course of committing crime.  The Road Crime Team is very much intelligence led and has its own dedicated intelligence officers who will provide you with the information you need to make a difference on the County’s roads.

We ask that applicants are currently qualified as advanced drivers.  However more than anything we want individuals whose work ethic and commitment to keeping roads safe and putting criminals behind bars is second to none.  In return for your hard work and dedication we promise that we will invest in you, ensuring that you have all the skills and qualifications you need to become an effective road policing professional.

Our 24/7 team are based at Stafford in new premises just off J14 of the M6 with private parking.  We operate a diverse fleet of marked and unmarked high-performance vehicles including Audi A6’s and A4’s, BMW 5 and 3 series, Volvo XC90’s and Skoda Superbs.  If you are a motorcyclist we are also looking to increase our establishment of advanced motorcyclists.

If this opportunity has caught your imagination and you think you fit the bill, then we’d love to hear from you.  If you have any questions or would like any more details please don’t hesitate to contact Insp Sion Hathaway – sion.hathaway@staffordshire.police.uk.

We’ll also be running two familiarisation  sessions on Teams where you can speak with Insp Hathaway and Roads Policing Officers who have recently transferred into the force. Please use the links below if you wish to attend.
