This is an excellent and unique opportunity to join the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU) in support of the fight against serious and organised crime.
We are looking for an individual to join the YHROCU Online Child Sexual Abuse Exploitation Investigation Team working in an intelligence role. The individual will work with enthusiasm, drive and a commitment, taking responsible for researching, developing intelligence l to assist the team in their fight against online CSAE.
This role will support all aspects of the YHROCU specialist capabilities operational delivery, in partnership with colleagues from across the Regional Organised Crime Unit, the regional territorial police forces, the National Crime Agency and other law enforcement partners involved in tackling CSAE.
With proven previous experience in an intelligence / investigation role, you will be proactive in the identification of intelligence requirements, creation of intelligence collection plans and developing this into usable intelligence for operational activity. This will be to maximise disruption and intervention opportunities across the 4 P approach. An awareness of social media use within CSAE and an interest in technology would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements and be willing to travel regularly across the region and the UK if required.
Please note that there will be no requirement to conduct static foot surveillance in the role.
You should hold a full UK/European driving license.
