TRANSFEREE - PC - Roads Policing and Specialist Operations (RPSO)
An opportunity has arisen for substantive police constables to transfer to Gwent Police to join the Roads Policing team. We are looking for qualified Roads Policing officers who hold the ‘advanced driving qualification’ and who can support the department in providing specialist Roads Policing.
In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
- To respond to serious incidents on the road networks and promote road safety.
- To provide operational specialist support force wide and respond to LPA demands and priorities.
- To manage the initial investigation of serious road traffic collisions.
To apply for this role, you will require the following Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Confirmed in the rank of Constable within another Home Office police force.
- Must be a current road traffic officer or have worked in the department within the last three years.
- Must have completed Advanced Driver Course.
- A strong background / experience in roads policing.
- Be willing to undertake future training actives, development and qualifications that are in keeping with the role.
- Must have the ability to pass a tactical pursuit and containment course.
- Applicants must be able to operationally deployable and PPST Compliant.
