Merseyside Police is seeking to recruit PIP2 accredited Detective Constables
Why join Merseyside Police
Policing on Merseyside is dynamic, challenging, rewarding and we take pride in everything we do. We are the best performing urban Force as graded by HMICFRS and our strategy is to put the communities of Merseyside first in all we do. We have a strong focus on continuous improvement with particular emphasis on our approach to Reducing Violence Against Women and Girls; Tackling Serious Organised Crime and County Lines; Enhancing our approach to Diversity and Inclusion; and building trust and legitimacy through our approach to Community Engagement.
Merseyside is one of the smallest geographical forces, but serves a diverse population in a challenging policing area, responding to almost 1 million calls for service per year. The Force received an additional £12M funding from the Home Office this year to continue the incredibly important work to tackle county lines and serious violence.
Our Force Strategy
We are driven by the current Force Strategy 2020-25 and passionately believe that Community First is absolutely the right thing for our communities, for our partners and for Merseyside Police.
Our vision is to put our communities first – we are committed to preventing crime and anti-social behaviour, through our developing approach to preventative policing, in order that we reduce the number of victims particularly those crimes that cause high harm. We are evolving our approach with the PCC to supporting victims of crime and we are dedicated to bringing more offenders to justice, whilst building in diversionary and preventative approaches.
