Job Title: National Police Chiefs’ Council - National Serious & Organised Crime Portfolio (NSOC) Project Manager
Salary: The starting salary is £45,073, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £42,232 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £50,385. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Remote working nationally within UK. NPCC is currently based in close proximity to St James Park underground station, London and therefore occasional travel will be required to this premise and other Police locations across the UK. Contract – Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2025 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance).

NPCC SERIOUS ORGANISED CRIME TEAM
The NPCC Serious Organised Crime Team plays a crucial role in communicating the collective views and action of UK police chiefs to the public, government, and stakeholders, building and maintaining confidence in policing at the national level and supporting effective engagement with stakeholders.
THE ROLE
The post holder will be expected to lead on one or more projects. They will be required to lead in all relevant project areas including:
- Project design including the relevant initiation documentation (PID, business case or similar)
- Project planning, mapping milestones deliverables and ongoing progress, using relevant project management products.
- Stakeholder mapping and management
- Development and articulation of benefits, working with the Benefits Manager and relevant SME/business area leads.
- To undertake projects and activities as directed or required by the Strategic Policing Advisor and to ensure efficiency, focussing on the overall NSOC Strategy and objectives.
- To ensure effective benefits realisation methods are implemented using the agreed NPCC benefits framework and that identified benefits are measured and deliverable.

Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Occasional national travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid if location allowance is not being received, or when travel falls outside of the home to work journey. NPCC will pay for overnight accommodation if required.
