North West Regional Organised Crime Unit – NWROCU 

Warrington

 

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit –NWROCU is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West region.

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in an innovative area of policing and make an impact on serious and organised crime at a force, regional and national level. You will work as part of a team which develops the regional understanding of serious and organised crime and supports tactical investigations into Organised Crime Groups. This is a great opportunity for personal development, due to the varied capabilities within the NWROCU you will be exposed to a whole host of law enforcement activity.

The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales.  The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s Serious and Organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm.

The initial secondment period is for up to 2 years with any extension subject to performance and continued funding.  This recruitment process is to fill an immediate vacancy.

Successful applicants working within NWROCU will be subject to both MV and SC vetting prior to taking up post.   

The Grade of this role has been determined using the Merseyside HAY procedure and has been afforded a Merseyside Grade E. This equates to a salary range of £30,783- £ 35,982. NWROCU is located in the Warrington area, close to good public transport links and the motorway network.
